Free website project brief builder
A clear brief gets you better questions, faster quotes and fewer surprises. Answer the prompts below and copy the result, or send it by email or WhatsApp to any developer or agency, including us.
Free. No sign-up. Runs in your browser: what you type is not sent to us.
Add a sentence or two about the goal and the brief is ready to send.
The WhatsApp and email buttons only open a message for you to review and send. Nothing is sent until you do.
What a developer needs to quote
The three things that change a quote most are the goal, the number of distinct page or screen types, and what has to connect to what (payments, inventory, CRM, email). The brief asks for all three, plus any examples you like and your deadline.
Describe the goal, not the solution
Write what the site must achieve for the business: take bookings, sell a range of products, qualify leads. A developer can then suggest the right platform instead of building to a guess.
Send the same brief to more than one supplier
Comparing quotes only works when every supplier answers the same questions. Send this brief to each one and compare scope, timeline, what is included and what is not.
What happens if you send it to us
We read it, ask one or two short questions if something is unclear, and reply with a written quotation based on the scope. We do not publish package prices because the cost depends on the scope.
Questions people ask
Do I have to send the brief to Website Prism?
No. It is yours to use with anyone. The buttons only prepare a message you can send or copy.
Is anything stored or sent when I fill it in?
No. The brief is built in your browser. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to send it.
How detailed should it be?
A few clear sentences per question is enough. If you do not know an answer, leave it blank and say so; a good supplier will help you decide.
Want this done for you?
Tools show you the gaps. If you would rather have someone fix them, tell us what you need and we reply with questions or a written quotation. The closest service is Website redesign.
