Website redesign services that protect the traffic you already earn

A good website redesign changes how your site looks and works while keeping the pages, titles and addresses that already bring in visitors. We start with an audit of what ranks and converts, label every page keep, change, merge or kill, and redirect any address that moves. We agree a speed budget before design is signed off and launch in stages with Search Console watched afterwards. The platform can be WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix or custom code, and we will say if your current one should stay. We will also tell you if a redesign is the wrong spend, because sometimes fixing the funnel does more. Pricing is quoted in writing after a free call.

What's Included

Everything you need, nothing you don't.

01

An audit that joins a site crawl, Search Console queries and pages, analytics landing pages and speed tests, so every decision rests on what actually earns clicks, links and enquiries.

02

A keep, change, merge or kill inventory for every page, delivered as a shared spreadsheet you can review and challenge before any design or build work begins.

03

Design and build on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix or custom code, using a template or a bespoke design depending on your brand and budget, with mobile layouts designed first.

04

A redirect map for every address that changes, with each old URL sent to one final destination, no chains and no blanket redirects to the home page, tested before launch.

05

A written speed budget based on Core Web Vitals, with limits on image weight, scripts and fonts, tested on staging so a heavy design element is caught before it ships.

06

Carry-over of titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and structured data on pages worth keeping, plus an accessibility pass covering contrast, headings, forms and keyboard use.

07

A staged launch: private staging with indexing blocked, Search Console and analytics checked, redirects and sitemap switched on together, then a review of crawl errors after go-live.

08

Handover documents covering the inventory, redirect list and speed results, plus training so your team can edit pages without breaking templates.

How We Work

Our Process

We begin with a free call and a read-only audit of your current site. From it we produce the keep, change, merge or kill inventory and a short brief that you approve. Design comes next, drawn around the pages that matter, followed by a build on private staging with the speed budget as a pass or fail test. The redirect map is prepared alongside. We launch in stages, check Search Console, crawl errors and key pages straight after, and review traffic by landing page in the following weeks. Scope, timeline and payment milestones are agreed in writing first.

Under the Hood

Technologies We Work With

We design in Figma and build on WordPress, Shopify (Liquid and Online Store 2.0), Webflow or Wix, or on Laravel when a site needs custom logic. Audits use a site crawler, Google Search Console, GA4 and PageSpeed Insights or Lighthouse for Core Web Vitals. Redirects are loaded at server level, through the platform's own redirect manager or through a redirect plugin, depending on the stack. Staging sites are kept private and blocked from indexing until launch. Images are compressed and served in modern formats to protect speed.

How a project runs

  1. Send a brief

Usama reads it personally and replies with questions or a link to book a call.

  2. Written quotation

A written scope, timeline, payment milestones and what is out of scope. No obligation.

  3. Deposit and kick-off

A secured slot in the schedule. The deposit is non-refundable once work has begun (refund policy).

  4. Build in milestones

Progress you can see on a staging site, with payments following the milestones in your quotation.

  5. Test and launch

Final checks and go-live. For automations: tested on your real data in staging first, and documented.

  6. After launch

Optional monthly maintenance, cancel any time (refund policy). You own the custom code and designs once the project is paid in full (Terms).

Why do redesigns lose search traffic?

Most lost traffic after a redesign traces back to four decisions made without checking data. Addresses were changed without redirects, page titles and headings were rewritten for looks, content that ranked was cut as clutter, or the new build is slower than the old one. All four are avoidable, and all four are checked before launch in the method below.

What is the method?

It runs in order, and each stage hands a document to the next.

  1. Audit. We combine a crawl, Search Console queries and pages, analytics landing pages and a speed test of your current site, so we know what earns clicks, links and enquiries.
  2. Keep, change or kill inventory. Every page gets one of three labels, described in the table below.
  3. Design on top of the inventory. Layouts are drawn around the pages that matter, not around a blank canvas.
  4. Redirect map. Any address that changes gets one destination.
  5. Speed budget. Targets are agreed before design is signed off.
  6. Staging, review and a staged launch. Testing happens off the public web, then launch, then monitoring.

What does a keep, change or kill inventory look like?

LabelTest for itWhat we do
KeepEarns clicks, has links pointing to it, or drives enquiries or salesSame address, same title and heading intent, same core copy; only the layout around it changes
ChangeHas traffic but weak conversion, outdated copy or poor mobile layoutRework the page and keep the address; test one change at a time where volume allows
MergeSeveral thin pages compete for one topicFold into the strongest page and redirect the others to it
KillNo traffic, no links, no purposeRemove it and let it return a proper removed-page response, or redirect only if a close equivalent exists

The inventory is a shared spreadsheet you can open, argue with and change before anything is built. It is the single most useful thing a redesign produces.

How do you keep rankings through the move?

Google's site-move guidance gives the backbone: map every old URL to its new one, use permanent server-side redirects (301 or 308), send each old address straight to its final page rather than through a chain, and keep the redirects for at least a year. It also says not to point many unrelated old pages at the home page, because that can be treated as a soft 404. We follow all of it and add three habits of our own:

  • Titles, meta descriptions, headings and structured data on pages labelled Keep are carried over unless there is a documented reason to change them.
  • Internal links are updated to the new addresses so users and crawlers do not rely on redirects.
  • If the design changes but the addresses do not, there is nothing to redirect, and the safest redesign is the one that touches the fewest URLs.

Some movement in rankings during recrawling is normal, and we cannot promise a particular result. What we can do is make the avoidable losses unlikely and watch the rest in Search Console.

What is a speed budget, and what should it be?

A speed budget is a written limit the new site must meet before launch, agreed while the design is still cheap to change. We build it on Google's Core Web Vitals: the good thresholds published on web.dev are Largest Contentful Paint within 2.5 seconds, Interaction to Next Paint of 200 milliseconds or less and Cumulative Layout Shift of 0.1 or less, measured at the 75th percentile of real page loads. We add limits on image weight, script count and font files, then test the staging site against them. If a design element breaks the budget, such as a full-screen video or an unoptimised slider, we flag it before it is built. Where the work is mostly speed, WordPress speed optimization is the more direct fit, and our article on how speed affects SEO and revenue explains why it matters.

What about content and accessibility?

A new design is a chance to fix text that has gone stale, but copy that ranks should not be rewritten for style alone. We rewrite pages labelled Change, keep the intent and main headings of those labelled Keep, and write short new copy where a template needs it. The accessibility pass covers colour contrast, heading order, form labels, focus states for keyboard users and meaningful image descriptions. It is practical, not a certification, and it also tends to improve usability for everyone on a phone.

How does a staged launch work?

The new site is built and tested on a private staging address with indexing blocked, so a half-finished site never appears in search. Before launch we confirm Search Console verification will carry over, check that nothing on the staging site blocks Googlebot after the switch, and, if DNS changes, lower the DNS cache time a week ahead, as Google recommends. On launch day the block is removed, redirects go live and the sitemap is resubmitted. We then review crawl errors, coverage and landing-page traffic over the following weeks and fix gaps as they appear.

Which platform should the redesign use?

Keep the platform you have unless it is the problem. A redesign on the same platform is cheaper, lower risk and keeps your content editors productive. If a platform change is justified, we build on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Wix, and design-to-code conversion covers cases where you already hold approved designs. Shopify sellers moving platforms should also read our page on Shopify migration.

What decides the price of a redesign?

We quote in writing and publish no package prices. The drivers are page and template count, how much content must be rewritten or migrated, the platform, integrations such as booking, CRM or checkout, custom design work compared with a template, accessibility requirements and the size of the redirect map. Use the cost estimator for a rough scope, then book a call to firm it up.

When should you not redesign?

Do not redesign because the site feels old if the real issue is somewhere else. If visitors arrive but do not enquire, a few targeted changes to the offer, forms and calls to action may do more, which is the work of conversion rate optimisation. If rankings are the issue, an SEO review may be the better first spend. If the site is slow because of plugins, fix the plugins. A redesign makes sense when the structure, brand or technology blocks what the business needs, or when changes have piled up until nothing fits. What we can and cannot show you

Our published client reviews and case studies are for Shopify, WordPress, mobile and custom web projects, and you can check them on Fiverr and the Shopify Partner directory. We have no published client review or case study for Website Redesign Services Without Losing Your SEO yet, so we do not show one. Instead you get a written scope and quotation before work starts, a working staging version to test on your own data before go-live, and the right to stop between milestones (see the refund policy). If a simpler tool does the job, we will tell you.

How pricing works

We quote every project individually, because the price depends on scope: how many pages, systems or integrations are involved, how much is built from scratch, and how fast you need it. Small, well-defined jobs cost far less than custom builds. Tell us what you need, or use the quote request guide, and we will reply with a written quotation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do website redesign services cost?

We quote in writing after a free call and publish no package prices. The drivers are page and template count, how much content must be rewritten or migrated, the platform, integrations, custom design compared with a template, accessibility needs and the size of the redirect map. The cost estimator gives a starting scope.

Will a redesign hurt my SEO?

It can if addresses change without redirects, titles are rewritten carelessly, ranking content is cut or the new site is slower. We audit first, keep what earns traffic, redirect what moves and hold a speed budget. Some fluctuation is normal and no one can guarantee rankings.

How long does a website redesign take?

It depends on the number of pages, how much content needs rewriting and how quickly approvals come back, so we give a timeline only after the audit. A small brochure site moves much faster than a large catalogue. Content and sign-off, not design, usually set the pace.

Should I redesign my website or just fix it?

Redesign when structure, brand or technology blocks what the business needs. Fix first when the problems are narrower: slow plugins, weak forms, thin pages or unclear offers. A short audit separates the two, and we will recommend the smaller job when that is the honest answer.

Do I need to change platforms when I redesign?

Usually not. Staying on your current platform is cheaper and lower risk, and your team keeps its editing habits. We recommend a platform change only when the current one cannot support what you need, and then build on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or Wix.

What is a keep, change, merge or kill inventory?

It is a spreadsheet that gives every page one decision. Keep means same address and core copy. Change means rework but keep the address. Merge means fold thin pages into a stronger one and redirect. Kill means remove. It stops a redesign from deleting pages that earn traffic.

What you can rely on, and what we will not do

What you can rely on

  • A written quotation with scope, timeline and payment milestones before any work starts.
  • You own the custom code and designs once the project is paid in full.
  • If you cancel mid-project you pay for the work done; work not yet started is refunded.
  • We use your details to reply, quote and run your project. Analytics only after you accept cookies; no advertising pixels and no card data on this site.
  • We tell you honestly when a platform or feature is not the right fit.

What we will not do

  • Promise rankings, sales or AI-assistant citations. Nobody controls those.
  • Invent reviews, client names or case-study numbers.
  • Show your project in our portfolio if you ask us not to.
  • Quote a price before we understand your scope.
