Free website launch checklist
Pick your platform and the kind of site you are launching. You get a checklist covering content, search, speed, tracking, legal pages, forms, payments and final checks, which you can tick off and print.
Free. No sign-up. Runs in your browser: what you type is not sent to us.
Why launch problems repeat
The same mistakes show up at launch again and again: search engines still blocked from a staging setting, forms that email nobody, missing redirects from old URLs and checkout steps never tested with a real payment. A list does not make a site good, but it makes forgetting these things less likely.
Do the redirect map first on a redesign
If URLs change, list every old URL that has traffic or links and map it to its new home before launch day. This is the step most often skipped and the one that costs the most visibility if it is.
Test like a customer
Place a real order or send a real enquiry on the live site, on a phone, using the same path a customer would take. Check the confirmation, the email you receive and the email the customer receives.
After launch
Check Search Console for errors in the first weeks, keep the old site backed up, and have a named person responsible for updates and security.
Questions people ask
Is the checklist saved?
No. We do not store anything in your browser or on our server. Use the print button to keep a copy.
Does it cover accessibility and legal requirements?
It lists the common items. Legal requirements depend on where you operate and what you sell, so confirm them with a qualified adviser.
Can you do the launch for me?
Yes, if you would like that. See the link below, or use the brief builder to describe the project.
