Overview

Figma-to-Shopify build for a limited-drop apparel brand, preserving countdown-driven launch urgency.

Our Solution

We built a high-energy Shopify theme directly from Figma, preserving the drop-culture urgency of the original design.

Strategy & Implementation

  • Built the countdown-timer mechanic first, since it's the component the entire drop model depends on
  • Load-tested cart and checkout specifically under simulated high-traffic drop conditions
  • Matched the bold, unconventional visual choices in the Figma file exactly, including the risky parts
  • Built review and rating displays to match the design system without slowing page load during a drop
  • Coordinated final polish details directly with the design team rather than interpreting ambiguous specs alone

Key Challenges

  • Making countdown and drop-launch mechanics reliable under real traffic, not just in testing
  • Keeping the store fast during the exact moments traffic spikes hardest
  • Matching bold, unconventional design choices without quietly reverting to safer defaults

Results Delivered

  • Countdown and drop-launch mechanics held up under simulated high-traffic conditions before going live
  • Store performance stayed strong during the highest-traffic moments, by design, not by luck
  • Bold visual choices from the Figma file shipped intact rather than watered down
  • Cart and checkout were stress-tested specifically for drop-day conditions

“Our drops live and die by hype, and the countdown mechanics needed to just work, every time. Website Prism built our Figma design out exactly as intended and the store has held up well through multiple live drops since launch.”
